Mwandi Member of Parliament Michael Kaingu has expressed gratitude at the turnout of Voter Registration in his constituency.
Dr. Kaingu who is also Minister of Higher Education tells Pan-African Radio in an interview that despite his electorates having challenges to get to Registration Centres, they showed commitment.
The Minister adds that it is imperative that the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) considers extending the process so as to allow those in far flung areas Register.
Dr. Kaingu has since advised ECZ to consider broadening awareness of the Voter Registration Exercise.
Opposition Rainbow Party has stressed the need for the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) to be fair when penalising Tax Payers.
Party Spokesperson Goodson Banda tells Pan-African Radio in an interview that it is disheartening that the Authority has become biased with the way it’s dealing with Tax evaders.
Mr. Banda has observed that Private Organisations fall prey to charges laid against them as compared to Public Organisations.
Mr. Banda has since called on the Citizenry to support each other as Zambians and take the Authority to task whenever they feel there is an imbalance.
