Zambia constructs largest dam for irrigation purposes

By Mike Sichula The Speech Analyst Zambia’s largest Dam for agriculture irrigation purposes has officially been handed over to the Government of Zambia by a Chinese Contractor, Anhui Foreign Economic Construction Company, nine months before schedule, construction works started in February, 2017. The Dam is situated in Miswa ward, Chisamba, Central province that has a population of 14,517 people. The World Bank provided a loan of 28.3 million dollars towards the construction of the dam, which has a capacity of 61 million cubic meters water storage and reservoir for farming activities. Close to 6,000 households are expected to benefit from the dam....
