Mkushi, April 14, 2023, ZANIS—Government has empowered women in Mkushi district, in Central province, with soft loans under the village bank scheme. Mkushi District Community Development Officer Priscilla Mangowani has disclosed to ZANIS that 175 women entrepreneurs have received loans under the department’s village bank loan scheme, within a period of 12 months. Mrs. Mangowani notes that the beneficiaries are mainly from Mkushi Central, Chalata and Nkumbi community development sub-centers.
