Perhaps as a mark of Zambia’s growing international reputation, President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has been nominated for the African Peace Award, previously won by former Mozambique President Joachim Chisano.

“I see it as recognition of Zambia’s transparent leadership and good governance credentials that President Lungu has been nominated for an award previously won by former Mozambique President Joachim Chisano , an appreciative Dr. Joseph Chilengi showered praise on ECL and the Patriotic Front(PF) Government.

Equally significant is  the Economic, Social and Cultural Council of the African Union (AU-ECOSOCC) Presiding Officer, Joseph Chilengi, being  nominated as recipient of the venerated “Most Influential Contemporary African Diaspora Leaders.
